W.I.P. Wednesday

know it isn’t technically Wednesday yet, but we are heading out in the morning for the beach and I won’t have time to post. This is our first vacation in a very long time and I am looking forward to chilling on the beach with a good book, some knitting and watching Kage have a blast.

Kage the photographer

In an effort to find something to entertain Kage for a while, I gave him our old point and shoot camera. The camera is supposed to be shock resistant and water proof, so I hoped Kage wouldn’t do too much damage to it. Thankfully it is still in one piece although after he was done it was covered in sticky goo from something he ate.

This dish was so good! It is a cold salad that is perfect for lunch or dinner on a hot summer day. It is a slight variation on the recipe from The Nourishing Gourmet. I make my own version of Mexican Quinoa (pronounced keen-wa) that is really good, but I was getting bored of it [...]

Kage’s Vocab Quiz

I thought I would try out posting a video for the first time. Excuse the test post if you got it.

This week was very productive. I completed several projects. The first and largest project being the 12 fitted diapers for Ember that have been haunting me for the past few months. I am so very glad to have these done. I think from here on out I need to do smaller batches at a time. Sewing 12 at once was hard because it took so long to see results. I need quicker gratification than that.

Playroom Update

I am so excited. The playroom is coming along, finally! We got the playstands last week and Bruce put them together. I need to glue the canopy frame still and put that up, but at least the majority of the work is done. It fits perfectly in the space with really only an inch to [...]
